A 3-Day Split, Croatia Itinerary That Diocletian Himself Would Love

Split offers up whatever type of experience you're feeling. World-class vineyards with gorgeous city views? Check. Pristine beaches and nightlife that is considered some of the best in Europe? Check. Fresh seafood and a coffee culture that is slept-on? Check and mate.

Having hunkered down in Split, Croatia for nearly 3 months, I came to know the city quite well. It was one of the first places in Europe that I had spent any sort of significant time in and, because of that, it will always have a special place in my heart.

From high-quality, affordable seafood and wines (along with potent hard liquors) to some of the best preserved Roman ruins outside of Italy and bustling surrounding islands with pristine beaches, you’re sure to be living la dolce vita while in Spit.

Here is a 3-day Split itinerary that I have no doubt the storied Roman emperor Diocletian himself would enjoy.
